How to Boost Company Morale

Know your Team ! Company Culture is a direct reflection of your Team Members’ happiness.

  • Take the time to learn about them within appropriate boundaries. Examples include: Interests, hobbies, food, art and travel.
  • Check in with them on what their cares and needs are within the company/ daily operations 
  •  Ensure Team Member responses are acknowledged and action has been taken. 
  • Leadership needs to always arrive with a positive and uplifting spirit towards daily operations and outcomes 
  • Team Member Training needs to be thorough and comprehensive. Training should be weekly for continuous professional development.
  • Abide by the same rules you expect your team members to (Attendance, Preparation, Presentation) 
  • Show Appreciation 
  • Observe the Team’s Strengths and Opportunity for Growth
    • Use Terminology that is uplifting and demonstrates strength based leadership

  • Create an action plan based on observations to improve performance.
    • Behavioral (Connection to each other)
      • Example: Team Building Retreat or Office Party
    • Production (Daily operations & Quotas)
      • Example: Extended training and daily review of expectations with guidance
    • Precision (Important details that impact long term success)
      • Example: Invite Keynote Speakers from Reputable Businesses, and Compliance Experts to educate your team 
    • Individual (How each Team Member impacts the company)
      • Example: Conduct Reviews and Provide Rewards and/or create mentorship programs within your company. 
  • Conduct Team & Individual Meetings
    • Provide Snacks & Beverages 
    • Be organized demonstrating true leadership and preparation
      • Presentations should be included and useful 
    • Use Team Bonding/Building exercises that are directly related to the primary purpose of improvement
      •  Impactful exercises that carry into daily operations 
      • Clear instructions for improvement which provides direct guidance and expectations 
      • Thank for attendance 
      • Leave them with a follow-up deadline 
  • Correct Team Members’ Actions
    • Be vocal about issues you notice
    • Intervene whenever necessary
    • Utilize disciplinary actions
    • Remind them on company values and policies
    • Replace Team Members who don’t comply
